What makes White Lotus Fashions products unique?

Every White Lotus Fashions product is handcrafted in India using traditional hand block printing and free-hand painting techniques. Unlike factory-made textiles, each piece is individually printed by skilled artisans using hand-carved wooden blocks. Small variations in color and print are part of the handmade process and make every item one of a kind.

What is hand block printing?

Hand block printing is a centuries-old textile art in which artisans carve designs into wooden blocks, dip them into dye, and carefully stamp each color onto the fabric by hand. Every color requires a separate block and precise alignment, making the process both labor-intensive and highly skilled.

Are your products really handmade?

Yes. Our products are handcrafted by artisans in India. Many of our designs involve multiple stages, including carving, block printing, drying, washing, and finishing by hand.

What fabric do you use?

Most of our bandanas are made from 100% cotton. Many of our scarves are made from lightweight cotton voile, chosen for its softness, breathability, and comfort.

Are your dyes safe?

Many of our collections use natural plant-based dyes, while others use carefully selected textile dyes chosen for durability and vibrant color. Product pages indicate the materials and printing methods used.

Why does my bandana have tiny smudges or color dots?

Tiny smudges, small color dots, and slight variations are natural characteristics of authentic hand block printing. These are not defects—they are signs that your item was made by hand rather than mass-produced.

Will my bandana look exactly like the photos?

Because each item is handmade, slight differences in color placement and printing are normal. Colors may also appear slightly different depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions.

Are your products machine printed?

No. Our block-printed collections are printed by hand using carved wooden blocks. Some designs also feature free-hand painting by artisans.

Why are handmade products more expensive?

Handmade textiles require skilled craftsmanship and significantly more time than machine-made products. Every purchase supports artisan communities and helps preserve traditional textile techniques passed down through generations.

Care

How should I wash my bandana or scarf?

We recommend gentle hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent. Air dry away from direct sunlight for best results.

Can I machine wash my bandana?

A gentle machine cycle in cold water is usually acceptable, but hand washing helps preserve the fabric and printed colors for longer.

Can I iron it?

Yes. Use a low to medium heat setting. Iron on the reverse side whenever possible.

Sizing

What size are your bandanas?

Our standard bandanas measure approximately 21 × 21 inches, making them suitable for neckwear, headwear, bags, pets, and home décor.

Are the measurements exact?

Since our products are handmade, slight variations of up to about half an inch may occur.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

We currently ship throughout the United States.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. Shipping times depend on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.

Returns

Can I return my order?

Because our products are handmade, we accept returns only in limited situations:

  • You received the wrong item.
  • Your item has a significant manufacturing defect or tear.
  • The product differs substantially from what was ordered.

Can I return an item if I simply changed my mind?

We do not accept returns for change of mind, personal preference, or because of the natural handmade variations that are part of the hand block printing process.
